Transportation from the City Center to the Airport:

The distance between the Aleppo Airport and the city center is short. However, since the airport is currently closed for commercial flights, you can use the closest airports to Aleppo, which are Hatay Airport and Gaziantep Airport. From these airports, you can rent a car and within 2-3 hours you can reach Aleppo city center. At Gaziantep Airport, there are seven car rental companies, both local and international and at Hatay Airport there are three local car rental companies. 

Also, some companies provide shuttle services to Aleppo from both airports; but lately, these companies have temporarily suspended their services. 

General Information About Aleppo International Airport (ALP):

Aleppo Airport has a history of almost 100 years and over the years, has been expanded and restored many times. The airport consists of 4 floors and it is located 7 kilometers from the city center. Aleppo Airport provides VIP Lounges, exchange offices, ATMs, a clinic, several shops, restaurants, duty-free, and a mosque. This airport is temporarily closed to commercial flights since 2011 and there is no clear date for its reopening.

Located in Lviv, Ukrain, 6 km from the city center, Lviv Airport is also known as Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport. The airport was named after King Daniel of Galicia and handles both domestic and international air traffic.

The airport is an important transportation hub for the city. Lviv Airport is equipped with amenities and services that will meet your pre-flight and post-flight needs. There are many areas at the airport where you can shop or relax as you wait for your flight or after you land. There are different transportation options available to get to and from the city center including taxi, trolleybus, and rental cars. Being only 6 km from the city center adds to the airport’s accessibility.

Taxi

Taking a taxi to the city center is the fastest and most comfortable transportation method available. Aero Express vehicles are the official taxi operator for Lviv Airport. Using these vehicles you can easily get to the city center. You can arrange a taxi from the taxi operator desk located in Terminal A or by calling. Bus

Another option to get to Lviv Airport is by bus. Compared to taxis, buses are a more economical option. Buses from the airport to the city center take about 10-15 minutes. Public buses operate every day of the week, from 7 am to 10 pm. You can access these buses from the Airport (New Terminal). The public bus line route is as follows: Krychevskoho Str, Lyubinska Str, Kulchytska Str, Rynok Pivdennyi, Kulparkivska Str, Vasylya Symonenka Str, Univermag Okean, Boychyka Str, Arkasa Str, Shumskoho Str, Ivana Horbachevskoho Str, Depo, Petro Doroshenko Str and Svobody Ave.

Trolleybus

The trolleybus is another affordable transportation option. The trolleybus provides a comfortable ride to the city center, which takes about 10-15 minutes. The trolleybus operates every day of the week, from 6 am to 10 pm. You can access the trolleybus from the Airport (Old Terminal). The trolleybus route is as follows: City Center (Ivan Franko University), Lystopadovoho Chynu Str./ Krushelnytskoyi Str, St. Yura Sq, Metropolyta Anreya Str, Geroiv UPA Str (return route – Okruzhna Str.) and Lyubinska Str.

Rental Cars

Another transportation option to choose from is renting a car. Rental car offices can be accessed from Terminal A. By renting whatever vehicle you want you can get to the city center comfortably and quickly. Rental car companies that you can choose from include Avis, BLS, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt.

Airport Information

Located in Lviv, Ukraine, Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport handles both domestic and international air traffic. The airport, which is a major transportation hub for the city, has multiple terminal buildings.
