Transportation to Cadiz Airport from the City Center

Since there is no airport in Cadiz, you need to use either Jerez Airport, the closest to the city, or Seville International Airport. Alongside international flights in both airports, there are daily domestic flights to big cities in Spain such as Barcelona and Madrid.

If you will make your return flight from Jerez Airport, you can get there quickly and easily by taxi, which should cost around 50 euro. Car rental is also one of the most preferred forms of transport. You can follow the A4 to reach Jerez Airport and the journey should take 30 minutes on average. The rental car can be left in a special area in front of the main terminal building designated for this purpose. It’s also possible to reach the airport if you take a train from the city centre. You should reach Jerez Airport by train in 46 minutes. There are also airport shuttle services. It's a good idea to try and find out the departure times and bus stops for these before the journey. The cheapest alternative is taking the bus but you should bear in mind that with this option it will take you more than an hour to get to the airport.

If your plane is leaving from Seville International Airport then you can reach the airport quite comfortably with a rental car. You should get to the airport in an hour and a half by following the AP4 or A4. Taking the train is another alternative. You can reach the airport in two and a half hours if you take the train that leaves for Seville from Cadiz. Once you’ve reached Seville, you will find free shuttles just in front of the train station, and after a short journey with these will take you to the front of the terminal building. There aren’t any shuttle services that leave for Seville International Airport from Cadiz, but you can take the bus to Seville and then take another bus from there to reach the airport. While this is the most economic transport option, you should keep in mind that it will take you over two hours to reach the airport.

When planning your trip make sure you bear in mind that the fares for taxis increase in Spain during the weekends and that they charge extra for each of your luggage. In addition, you will need an internationally accepted drivers license in order to rent a car.
