The small city of Aachen does not have an airport that operates international flights. However, those traveling to Aachen use either Cologne Bonn International Airport or Düsseldorf International Airport because Aachen is in such close proximity to both cities.

To get to the city of Aachen you can use Cologne Bonn International Airport or Düsseldorf International Airport. There are many rental car companies located at both airports. To get to Aachen from Cologne Bonn International Airport follow the A4 motorway. To get to Aachen from Düsseldorf International Airport follow the A44 motorway. Under normal traffic conditions it takes about 1 hour to get to Aachen from both airports.
