HAVAŞ shuttles depart from the Kültür Car Park near the AKM building opposite the Merkez Büyük Cami (Central Big Mosque) and reach the airport. HAVAŞ shuttles also depart from Atakum district of Samsun city.

Samsun Çarşamba Airport was opened in 1998 and passenger transportation has firstly begun in 1999. The first airport, which was closer to the city center, had caused some accidents due to small and impractical runways and then a new airport has been established in Çarşamba. The airport has both domestic and international terminals. The airport is situated on an 11.500-km area.
