Rene Mouawad Air Base is located 40 minutes away from Tripoli city center. This air base is also known as Kleyate Airport. Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut is the closest airport to Tripoli. This airport is located 89 kilometers of the city center. Flights between Istanbul and Beirut last about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

The airport is 120 kilometers of Baalbek, 45 km of Zahle, 80 km of Tyre, 60 km of Nabati and 40 km of Jezzine.
