You can go to Shahid Dastghaib Internatioal Airport from Shiraz city center with a rental car. Since the taxi fares in the city are affordable, taxis are the most frequently used means of transportation. On the other hand, it is also possible to reach nearby the airport with bus or metro. However, if you prefer these means of transportation, keep in mind that you have to walk a distance; thus, if you have many and/or heavy luggage they are not suggested.

Metro

Metro is also an affordable option. The metro stop that you will get off at is also walking distance to the airport. Even though the metro ride would last 15 minutes, you should keep in mind that you will have to walk to the airport.

Airport Information

Shahid Dastghaib Internatioal Airport, shortly known as Shiraz International Airport, is one of the biggest and most modern airports of Iran.  

Charter flights, cargo transportation and seasonal flights to cities such as Adana, Antalya, Tbilisi, Jeddah and Medina are also arranged from the airport where regular flights are operated to many cities.

The airport is eight kilometers away from the city center. Besides the coffees and restaurants, there are also various stores at the airport. Since Iran is a Muslim country ruled in line with sharia, keep in mind that woman passengers need to cover up their heads at the airport, there are no alcoholic beverages sold at the airport including the duty free store and it is forbidden to consume alcohol.
