Located in the west of Indonesia, a country made up of hundreds of islands, close to Papua New Guinea, Anggi features a tropical climate year-round and is a remarkable paradise with wide beaches notable as a holiday destination. In this region, which is home mostly to native Indonesians, the most important source of livelihood is agriculture and fishing. The locals make their living by selling tropical fruits like coconuts, bananas, and pineapples to the surrounding area. Another source of income is fishing.

Anggi is dominated by rain and windy weather for almost the entire year. Often short-term rains occur, especially during the transition of seasons. If you travel to this region during these seasons we strongly suggest you pack accordingly. While a significant part of the population doesn’t speak English most of the officials do. Still, having a guide with you will make it much easier.
