Buscar vuelos a Chernivtsi

Located along the Romanian border, Chernivtsi is a city situated on the edge of the River Prut and on the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains, in Ukraine. Turks inhabited the city during a certain period so there are many places that bear a Turkish name. Among places to visit are the pink Holy Spirit Orthodox Cathedral, located on Holovna Street, the blue town hall on Turkish Street, the fountain in the Turkish Square, and the Turkish bridge. Today however there is a small amount of Turks left in Ukraine. For eating and drinking and shopping, head to Olha Kobylianska Street. Make sure to explore the Chernivtsi University building, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The building, which was damaged in World War II, bears the traces of Byzantine and Moorish architecture. Winters in Chernivtsi are cold and snowy while summers are hot. In the spring the weather is usually cool. We would recommend visiting the city in the summer. You can reach Chernivtsi by train from other touristic cities in Ukraine, like Kiev or Lvov. You can use taxis or minibuses for urban transportation.
