As of 2016, the bus fare for a one-way ticket was 9.80 euros. You can purchase tickets via the Flughafen Ticket system. Bus 127 provides transportation to the main bus station, which is very close to the city center, in about 35 minutes.

Taxi

If you are in a hurry we would recommend taking a taxi to the city center because it is the fastest transportation alternative. Taxis are readily available at the airport exit. It takes about 30 to 35 minutes to get to the city center from Rostock-Laage Airport via taxi. A taxi to the city costs about 40 euros. Rental Car

Another transportation alternative to get to the city center from the airport is by rental car. There are a lot of rental car companies at the airport including Europcar, Hertz, and Avis. You can also book a vehicle in advance by making a reservation online. Make sure to have an internationally valid driver’s license with you. It takes about 20-25 minutes to get to Rostock city center from the airport by car.

Once you exit the airport head down L13 to Laage B103. Continue on this road and get on the A19 (E55) motorway. Rostock city center is located at the exit of this highway.
