You can rent a car at the airport and easily reach Kano city center. It is possible to get to the city center in about 30-40 minutes using the Airport Road or the A2 motorway. Aminu Kano International Airport is located approximately 13 kilometers northwest of the city center of Kano. The airport established in 1936 is the oldest airport in the country. Aminu Kano International Airport hosts military as well as civil flights. Duty free shops at the airport, serves passengers with a small café and a VIP lounge, are closed for a while.
