Municipality Buses

You can reach the airport from the city center by bus number 135, which runs hourly between 6 am and 7 pm every day from the airport and Çukurova University points. Airport Information

Sakirpaşa Airport is also open to international flights; the International Terminal, which has a capacity of 6 million passengers, came into service in 1997 and the Domestic Terminal came into service in 1984. Despite the potential of the passengers, the airport offers limited facilities to spend time.

For the passengers who use the international terminal, there are two restaurants and two buffets, one of which is in the clean area as well as a duty-free shop. It is also possible to travel around the island by renting a car. A4 road, the only major road in the city, circles around the entire island.

If you don’t want to travel around only Gan Island, you can also visit Feydhoo and the nearby islands comfortably and freely by renting a car according to your budget. Feydhoo Island is about 2,5 km and it takes only 7 minutes to reach the island through Link highway. You can easily reach the 4 islands connected to each other by bridges by following Link Highway. The distance between Gan Island and the farthest island is only 14 kilometers.

It is also possible to reach the other islands by speedboats located in the city. Taxi is also one of the most commonly used means of transportation in the city center. There are buses as means of public transportation. These also provide urban transportation. These buses can also be used to get to the other islands.

Gan International Airport is just 1 kilometer of the city center. You can reach the city center by bus. If you do not prefer public transportation, you can rent a car at the airport by visiting one of the car rental companies. Taxi is one of the most preferred means of transportation. On the island where there are many accommodation centers, transportation service is provided to the guests with private services. There are also speedboats as a different alternative for those travelling to the other islands connected to each other by bridges.

You can get to the city center by getting on a taxi from one of the taxi stands located near the exit of the arriving passenger terminal. The taxis offer 24/7 service. The taxis of Addu Atoll have plates with yellow numbers.

There are car rental offices at the airport. Renting a car is a good alternative for those who also want to visit the other islands and nearby places instead of staying at the hotel all the time.

Hotel Shuttle

The hotels on the island aim at offering the best service for their guests. If you wish, you can contact your hotel if they can send a vehicle to pick you up at the airport. You shouldn’t forget to make a reservation in advance and share your flight information with your hotel in order to benefit from this service.

Speedboat

If you will accommodate on other islands of Addu Atoll instead of Gan Island, you can use a speedboat for getting to the city center. You can get on a taxi for getting to the port where the speedboats depart. The distance between the port and airport is only 700 meters.

Bus

Bus is another alternative you can use to get to the city center. There are bus stops in front of the exit of arriving passenger terminal of the airport. You can comfortably get to the city center by bus.
