Adana, which is the largest city in Mediterranean and Eastern Anatolia regions, is the Turkey’s fifth largest city that is connected to the world through Şakirpaşa Airport, which is located in Seyhan district. It is very easy to get to the airport which is 5km away from Yüreğir district, Kayalıbağ and Reşatbey neighborhoods which are accepted as the city center.

Municipality Buses

You can reach the airport from the city center by bus number 135, which runs hourly between 6 am and 7 pm every day from the airport and Çukurova University points. You can get on the bus through the Turhan Cemal Beriker Boulevard in the city center as well as you can do so by transferring through the city’s only metro line ‘Akıncılar-Hospital’.

Minibus – Dolmush

Taxi is one of the fastest and most economical ways to get to the airport from the city center. You can reach the airport at an affordable price by taxi from the many parts of Adana, though it is not as cheap as taking a bus.

Airport Information

Sakirpaşa Airport is also open to international flights; the International Terminal, which has a capacity of 6 million passengers, came into service in 1997 and the Domestic Terminal came into service in 1984. Despite the potential of the passengers, the airport offers limited facilities to spend time.

For the passengers who use the international terminal, there are two restaurants and two buffets, one of which is in the clean area as well as a duty-free shop. There is a buffet in the domestic terminal and a café in the clean area. Besides, you can enjoy the famous tastes of Adana by leaving the airport, which is 4.5 kilometers away from the city center or you can spend your time in the city before going to the airport.

Herceg Novi, which is one of the favorite destinations of Montenegro, has its own airport but since it doesn’t actively offer passenger transportation service, Tivat International Airport is used by the visitors. It is possible to reach the center of the town by renting a car or getting on a bus from the airport that is 30 kilometers of Herceg Novi. Taxi is another alternative but it not commonly preferred.

Taxi

Taxi is an alternative that is preferred by the passengers who don’t have a driver’s license or who want a comfortable travel to the center. Since the distance between the airport and center is not very short, this option can be a bit costly. However, it is possible to reach the center in less than one hour by taxi.

Car Rental      

At Tivat International Airport, Hertz, Avis, Europcar, Sixt and InMontenegro companies offer car rental services. You can reach Herceg Novi in less than one hour by driving in the northwest direction on the highway E65 with the car you will rent from one of these companies. You will be accompanied by a wonderful view during your travel.

Bus

You can easily travel to Herceg Novi by using the buses departing from Tivat International Airport. This travel can last more than one hour. However, this is a budget-friendly option for travelling to the center.
