The distance between the city center and El Arish International Airport is quite short. For this reason you can go to the airport by taxi or rental car. There is no public transportation to the airport.

Taxi

It's easy to find a taxi in the city. Many people with private vehicles can act like taxis if there are passengers. It is advisable for passengers to take a taxi from a reliable taxi stand. You can find many local companies renting cars in the center of El Arish. If you are staying at a hotel or if you have some contacts in the city, you can ask them to recommend you a reliable company for renting a car. You can reach the airport in less than twenty minutes under normal traffic conditions, via motorway 55 from the city center and following the airport signs. Be careful about careless drivers who might break the rules.

Airport Information

El Arish International Airport, 10 kilometers south of the center of El Arish, serves at a building with traces of local architecture. The density of the flights is increasing at the airport especially for Muslims, during the pilgrimage period. Apart from charter flights from El Arish International Airport, there are regular flights to Oman, Cairo and Jeddah. Because the airport is very close to the Gaza border, there may be occasional problems about flights. Passengers are advised to check the airport condition continuously prior to their flight. Standard services are provided to the passengers at the airport where there is a small cafeteria.

At Agra Airport there is no public transport that takes passengers to the city center. However, you can easily reach the city in a short time by renting a car or taking a taxi.

Taxi

The taxi stand is located in front of the arrival terminal. Travelling to the city center from Agra Airport by taxi only takes 15 minutes in normal traffic conditions. Taximeter uSage is not common in the taxis so before you get into a taxi to travel to the city make sure you agree the fare with the driver before hand.

Rent a Car

You can reach the city center in less than 20 minutes by renting a car at the airport. However, you should not forget that sometimes the traffic in Agra can be very busy. To get to the city center turn right when you exit the airport and that takes on onto Agra - Bikaner Road and then continue straight ahead and follow the signs of the city center.
