Transportation to Los Angeles Airport from the City Center

Citicorp Airport

The most practical transportation alternative to get to Los Angeles International airport from the city center is by using the FlyAway buses. These buses depart from Union Station and get to the airport in about 40 minutes. When there is traffic or during rush hour that travel time can vary significantly. FlyAway buses depart every 30 minutes and you don’t need to reserve a spot beforehand. We recommend checking the traffic conditions and figuring out what time you need to be at the airport beforehand.

The FlyAway buses operate between the following locations and the airport, Van Nuys (San Fernando Valley) Union Station (Downtown Los Angeles), Westwood (West Los Angeles/UCLA), Santa Monica, Hollywood, Orange Line, and Long Beach. Separate buses depart from these locations to the airport. You can buy your bus ticket on board using a credit card.

Passengers can also take the Green Line to the airport, which stops at the metro Green Line Aviation Station. From that station there are free shuttle bus services to the airport. The Green Line operates between Redondo Beach and Norwalk. After you get to the Green Line Aviation Station you can get on the LAX Shuttle “G” line, which will take you to the terminals.  

There are various buses that you can take from different locations in the city to get to Los Angeles International Airport. Transportation to Berlin City Center from Airport

Schoenefeld Airport

Berlin’s secondary international airport, Schönefeld Airport is located 18 km from the city. You can get to the city center from Schönefeld Airport by taxi, bus, train, rental car, or personal car.  

Taxi

The easiest and most comfortable way to get to the city center from the airport is by taxi. The taxi fare is calculated based on the kilometers traveled. Taxis are located at Terminal A and offer quick and convenient transportation to the city.

Bus

Buses are an economic and easy transportation alternative to get to the city center. There are normal buses that you can take as well as express buses that don’t make any extra stops and travel directly to the city center. Your choice of which bus to take will depend on your destination.

Train

Trains are another transportation option to get to the city center. You can choose among the S-Bahn trains and regional trains. The S-Bahn trains run every 10 minutes and provide transportation to and from Ostkreuz and Pankow. The regional trains run every 20 minutes and provide transportation between the airport and the Brandenburg area. The Berlin Train Station is located about 30 minutes from the airport; from this station you can get on inter-city or long-distance trains.

Rental Car

You can rent a car from the rental car offices located in Terminal A at the airport. Renting a car to get to the city is a fast and easy transportation alternative. Tegel Airport

Serving both international and domestic air travel, Tegel Airport is located 8 km from the city center. You can get to the city center from Tegel Airport by taxi, bus, rental cars, or personal car.

Taxi

The easiest transportation alternative to get to the city center is by taxi. Taxis charge based on the kilometers traveled. While taxis can be a bit pricey they have the advantage of being a faster and very comfortable mode of transportation. Taxis are always available at the airport and provide quick transportation to the city. Taxis are accessible from Terminal A, Terminal C, and Terminal E.

Bus

Another method of transportation that you can use to get to the city center is by bus. Buses are a more affordable option and they go to many locations in the city center. You can get on the normal or express buses, which are operated by the BVG (Berlin Transport Services), from Terminal A or Terminal B at the airport.

Train

There is no railway station at the airport. There are buses that go to the nearest stations, 5-10 minutes away, from which you can connect to other trains that reach the city center and the Berlin Train Station, which is located 30 minutes from the airport.  

Rental Cars

One of the fastest and most convenient ways to get to the city center is by renting a car. You can rent a car at Tegel Airport from the rental car offices located in Terminal E or the P2 parking area. Rental car companies that you can choose from include Avis, Enterprise, Budget, National, Alamo, Europcar, Hertz, Dollar, Thrifty, Sixt and Buchbinder.
