There are many alternative transportation methods to reach Nashville International Airport from the city centre. If you decided to use public transportation, you can use buses to keep transportation costs to a minimum. You can also reach the airport in short time by renting a vehicle, using a taxi, minivan and limousine. Do not forget that some hotels offer airport shuttle services.  

Taxi

In Nashville, taxis have a fixed start fee of 7 dollars and 2.1 dollars is added per mile to the fare. Keep in mind that a taxi fare from the city centre to the airport costs 25 dollars on average. You can reach the airport in approximately 15 minutes.

To reach the airport with your hired vehicle in approximately 15 minutes, drive through Interstate 40 East (I-40 E) and follow the directions. You can return your hired vehicle to the ‘Rental Car Facility’, which is located next to the short-term parking area. You can walk to the terminal building from there within a few minutes.

Bus

You can reach the airport from the city centre with bus route 18. This journey will take approximately 30 minutes in normal traffic conditions. A one-way ticket costs 2.5 dollars.

There are many companies that provide shuttle services to the airport. The vehicles that are used to transport passengers vary in size and ‘comfort levels’. Several of these companies provide a door-to-door shuttle service. There are close to 40 hotels and motels that offer shuttle services to escort their guests to the airport. Do not forget that airport transfer services by hotels can come at a cost, and that you may need to make a reservation in advance.
