Akyarlar is one of the holiday villages in Bodrum district of Muğla and is 24 km of Bodrum center. The neighborhood, whose name was Arhialla in the ancient period and Kefaluka in Greek, is located 5 kilometers of Kos Island. The Greeks, formerly inhabitants of the neighborhood which was once a Greek village, now live on Kos Island which is 5 km away. Although the source of living is mostly tourism, fishing is still being carried out in the region. You need first reach Bodrum in order to get to Akyarlar which is located 130 kilometers of Muğla. If you prefer flying, after landing at Bodrum Milas Airport you can get to Bodrum in about half an hour by using the shuttles of the airport companies. You can get to Akyarlar from the center of Bodrum by following the Turgutreis direction signs.
