Belize City is a port city and the largest city in Belize, which is located in Central America. It was once the capital of the former British Honduras. In addition to other awe-inspiring natural beauty, Belize City is home to important archeological sites and the Museum of Belize, which is an art and history museum that was restored and renewed in 2002. The museum is a great option for tourists interested in a cultural experience.

There are two airports that serve Belize City, the Belize City Municipal Airport and the Philip SW Goldson International Airport. Belize City Municipal Airport is located only 1.5 km from the city center; the airport is a 20-minute walk from the city center. The Philip SW Goldson International Airport is located 78 km from the city. International flights are usually done through Philip SW Goldson International Airport.
