Holbæk is situated in Sjaelland (Zealand) Region, the north of Denmark.  The town is the commercial and industrial center of the region together with the population of 26.961. Holbæk Vestsjaelland is 1 km far from the city center and 1 hour from Copenhagen. Holbæk is the second largest town of the Western Zealand Region.  Holbæk is also a significant port area and the cultural center of the region. The history of the town dates back to 1200s. Expanded after the king of the period built a castle in the town in 1300s, Holbæk is among the places where very few things could survive till today from the history.  The most prominent place to see in the town, Ladegårds Jungle is close to the city center lying towards the southwestern border of the city.  The jungle is formed by Lunden, Knudsskov, Haveskoven and Torbenlund Skov, four contiguous green fields. Besides, the greeneries are the natural habitats of deers, pigs and other wild animals.
