Krong Kampot, the center of Kampot Province of Cambodia, is located on the Gulf of Thailand. The city, which is located 30 kilometers of Vietnam border, is an important place where many tropical plants widely consumed in the region and country are produced.

Kampot Airport, which is located 23 kilometers northeast of the city center, is the only airport of Kampot Province.
