About Longueuil

Longueuil, which is located on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River directly, is a city in Montreal, Canada. Longueuil, which has a history dating back to 1657, is one of the oldest settlements of the region. The city is one of the most important destinations of winter tourism in Canada. Charron Island, which is a part of the Îles-de-Boucherville archipelago, has a close location to Longueuil. Located between Boucherville and Montreal. Charron Island, which offers breathtaking views of the Lawrence River located between Boucherville and Montreal, was once the property of the governor René Gaultier but now it offers service as a very green area attracting many tourists. By using a ferry, you can reach Charron Island connected to Montreal and Longueuil by Louis-Hippolyte Lafontaine Bridge and visit the parks and beaches on the island. You can visit Société historique et culturelle du Marigot for observing the modern art works closely. Plein Sud, which is a contemporary art and animation center, is also among the alternatives in Longueuil. Place Longueuil, which is one of the biggest shopping centers of the city and is located in Rue Saint-Charles, is a place with pleasant eating and drinking areas and famous boutique stores like La Vie en Rose, Yves Rocher, Ardéne and Bentley.
