About Maui

Maui Island, which is the second largest island among the Hawaiian Archipelago, is also the second most visited island in Hawaii with approximately 2,5 million visitors every year. Tourism is the main source of living for the people of Maui. Many of the residents earn income from their hotels, shops and local products they sell. The other popular islands as well as Maui, which is the favorite of the Hawaiian Archipelago consisting of 8 big islands and 124 islets, are Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe and Big Island from the west to the east. Accommodation, eating and drinking costs in Maui, which is often referred to as the place of the rich people, is a little higher compared to other Hawaiian Islands, but it is a great place for those who are bored with the crowd of Oahu.

There are many places to visit on the road to Hana from the West Maui Mountains. You can do many nature sports and activities in Valley Isle which is the most beautiful place of Maui Island. Maui consists of West Maui Mountains, which are the two important volcanic areas, and a wide volcano called Haleakala in the east side of Maui. The Valley Isle known as the center of Maui Island takes its name from these two valleys. Maui Island is home to the most beautiful beaches of the west coasts. The volcanoes located in the center of the island add a quite different atmosphere to this place. Maui has a sunny weather in a large part of the year. In the west coasts, an arid climate is effective while rainy weather is experienced in the east. The eastern part of the island is like a paradise thanks to the waterfalls in numerous valleys. You can enjoy the beautiful landscape along the road to the town of Hana. Be Reef Safe is another place that we advise you to visit during your Maui travel. You can snorkel or scuba-dive for discovering the riches and reefs of the underwater world. You can watch Haleakala from any terrace and take pictures of the amazing sunset views. You can swim with the 14-meter whales on the coast of Lahaina and take a breath in one of the cafes by the side of the waterfalls on the road to Hana. If you prefer flying to Maui Island, you need to reach Kahului Airport which is the closest airport to the island. It is possible to reach Kahului Airport, which is one of the busiest airports of the USA in terms of passenger traffic, by transferring through the other cities of the USA.
