About Madison

Madison is a city which has the lowest unemployment rate in the United States of America. Therefore, one of its references is “the Paradise of Workers”... Madison, which is the center of the State of Wisconsin, hosts the bases or offices of many technology and trade companies including the companies of Google, Microsoft, Broadjam and Raven Software. With a low population that makes it the 81st biggest city of the US in terms of population, the city is at the top of the list of cities to live in within the USA thanks to its nature and job opportunities. Because of the lakes of Mendota, Monona, Wingra and Waubesea right in its center, Madison is also referred to as “the City of Four Lakes”, and the city is named after the fourth president of the USA, James Madison.

In the city, where the Gates of Heaven, one of the oldest synagogues of the US, is situated, there is also Henry Vilas Zoo that welcomes around 1 million visitors per year. In Chazen, which is one of the important museums of the city, artworks belonging to artists such as Rodin, Eugene Boudin and Joan Miro are exhibited. The closest airport to the city is Dane County Regional Airport, which lies at a distance of 9 kilometers. This airport is only used by the airline companies providing flights within the US. Transportation to the city center, on the other hand, is enabled via the airport buses.
