There are 2 separate waiting locations for taxis outside the exit of the arrivals terminal where passengers should get in line. The airport shuttle service can take passengers to main points in the center and to various hotels. You can get tickets from the Airport Shuttle kiosk that’s just outside the arrivals terminal exit. You can choose a car that’s suited for you budget there from 9 separate agencies. To get to CONRAC you should use the exit next to the baggage reclaim belt 12 - 14 and walk a short distance. To get to the city center from the airport you should follow the I-10 W motorway and it should take around 20 minutes to reach the city center.
If you prefer to use public transport then you can reach the city center in around 40 minutes by taking the 202 bus. The ticket price is $ 1.50.
Hotels also offer shuttle services to and from New Orleans Airport. It’s quite practical and comfortable but can be a little more expensive than taking the bus. You can contact your hotel to inquire about whether they provide this service and get some more detailed information if they do.
