Pamporovo is located in the Smolyan Province of Southern Bulgaria and is one of the four biggest ski resorts in the country. The city is flooded with tourists who come for skiing and snowboarding during the winter months, compared to the quiet summer months.  
Pamporovo Ski Resort is located near the Snezhanka summit of the Rhodope Mountains at an altitude of 1650 meters and it is the sunniest ski resort in Bulgaria. Since almost all ski trails start from the summit of Snezhanka, certainly winter sports enthusiasts are familiar with the resort. 
If you want to go for a peaceful, 3-4 hours hiking, you can check the Waterfalls Canyon. Do not forget that this hiking track requires you to have some physical condition but at the end of the track, the view will be worth it.  You can taste the local Bulgarian cuisine, as well as delicious examples of European and Mediterranean cuisines; the best part is, with these prices you will not end up overspending. 
Pamporovo has a mild climate, including the winter season, as every year almost 240 sunny days can be experienced. The season for skiing starts in December and lasts until the end of April.
