Sandton, whose name comes from the combination of two of its suburbs, Sandown and Bryanston, is the richest region of Johannesburg in South Africa. The city is also known as the most important business and financial center of the country. The city which is home to Johannesburg Stock Exchange, the world's twelfth largest and the country's largest stock exchange, best investment institutions of the country, public accountant companies and a large congress center, attracts attention with its glass skyscrapers similar to those in Manhattan. Its streets, which are full of businessmen coming from all over the world for trade purpose and foreign tourists as well as domestic tourists, are commonly preferred for shopping. Sandton is also home to the rapid railway link station which has direct connections to OR Tambo International Airport, Pretoria and Johannesburg.
