About Tashkent
Tashkent is the capital city and largest city of Uzbekistan. Its location along the Silk Road made the city an important hub throughout history. After an earthquake in 1966 nearly destroyed the entire city it was rebuilt. Tashkent bears the characteristics of a Russian city, with expansive parks, squares, and wide boulevards.

Tashkent is considered the cultural capital of Central Asia and is rich in the arts, culture, and entertainment. Saligokh Street is an important avenue filled with shops and cafes.
