Vác, which is a small and charming Hungarian city, is located in the north of the country, in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains. The city, which is the summer town of Budapest, is also called 'The Capital of the Danube Bend' since it is close to many tourist destinations. The city, which is also popular with canoe and rowing sports, has bicycle paths extending to Budapest.

From the historical railway station in the city, there are regular train services to many places in Hungary, and the closest area to reach by air is Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport which is 64 kilometers away. You can travel from the airport to the city center by using a train, bus or taxi.
