Bamburi is a district of Mombasa, which is the second largest city in Kenya. Bamburi is popular for its beaches and hotels. It is one of the most remarkable areas of Mombasa and one of the most important ports and tourism cities in the east of Africa. The diving center called Mombasa Marine Park also draws attention with its coral reefs. From the Ottoman to the Sultanate of Oman, the port city has always attracted attention with its history. In Mombasa, it has been under control and ruled by many states from Portugal to the Sultanate of Zanzibar. One of the two airports is located in Bamburi.
