Located in southern Bulgaria, Haskovo is 225 km from the capital Sofia. It is the administrative centre of the Haskovo Province. It is a small airport that serves few international flights. Due to its proximity to the city taxis are widely used to reach the city center from the airport. The Plovdiv Airport is the second closest airport to Haskovo, located 80 km from the city. This airport serves many international flights. To reach Haskovo from this airport you must first take a train or bus to the Plovdiv city center and from there take an intercity bus or train to Haskovo.
