Search Flights from Chisinau to Kefallinia

There is no public transport to reach the city center from the Kefalonia International Airport, which is a modest airport 17 kilometers south of the city center. For this reason, you have to choose between taxis or rental cars to get to the city.

Taxi

A local firm takes over taxi service at Kefalonia Airport. There is a chart, which is obliged to be hung on the windshields of the taxis working at the airport, showing the fixed fee information determined for arriving the city center and other parts of the city from the airport. When you hire a taxi, you will be asked about your destination and to pay the specified fare before the trip. Thus, the use of taximeters is trying to be prevented in order not to damage passengers financially. The specified fare changes in the summer and winter months.

Car Rental

Considering the difficulty to find a taxi at Kefalonia Airport and the advantage of having a private car in this holiday city, the usage of rental cars increases during summer. You can rent a car from Prima Motors, Kokolis Travel, Hertz and Europcar 24 hours a day. Those who want to rent an economical vehicle can book cars at the appropriate prices from the internet sites of these companies.
